Dr D I Anderson
He has always had an interest in
diabetes. Years ago he worked as a
clinical assistant in diabetes and
has kept an interest since. He tries
to keep up to date with the latest
developments and has responsibility
for ensuring that the team offer
quality diabetes care.
Sr Kate Field – Lead Nurse in
Diabetes
Kate has been managing diabetes care
since 2003. She has successfully
completed the University of Warwick
Certificate in Diabetes Care and
also holds the Certificate of
Extended Practice having completed
courses in the Intensive Management
of Type 2 Diabetes and insulin
initiation. She is one of the
Educators for the 'Diabetes and You'
course which is run by Derbyshire
County PCT.
Sr Helen Dawson
Helen joined the team in 2005 and is
planning to extend her expertise in
diabetes and insulin initiation.
District Nursing Team: Sr Barbara
Reast
Barbara manages the
diabetes care for housebound
patients.
Debbie Brown – Podiatrist
Debbie is a 'Highly Specialised
Podiatrist in Diabetes Care'.
She is based at Saltergate Health
Centre but holds a clinic in the
surgery on Tuesday afternoons.

problem she can be contacted on
(01246) 514415. If she is not
available, leave a message and she
will get back to you.
Administration: Rachel and June
Rachel provides much of the audit
information and statistics which
measure our performance for
Derbyshire County Primary Care
Trust. She also manages the
call/recall system for podiatry
appointments.
June liaises with Kate to recall
patients for their diabetes reviews.
She is also a valuable link with
patients who have difficulty
attending surgery for their reviews.
